April 11

It was a beautiful day today. Temp. around 60 degrees. This afternoon students in grades 7 - 12 traveled to Neche to fill sandbags there. Due to ice jams the water has risen rapidly in the Neche area.

The Pembina flood committee met today. Things have slowed down, we're in "wait and see" mode. Dike patrols will begin when the river reaches 48 feet.  (It's at 45.7 feet today)

This large group of students made short work of the sand piles.
There was a little fun mixed in with the work for these two.
